| Jul. 11th, 2008 02:42 pm Cuddleslut? That sounds rude... Your result for The Attachment Style Test... The Cuddleslut
You're mostly secure, but sometimes you need a little extra reassurance to make it through the tough times. You are usually affectionate and sweet, and you find it easy to fall in love. An encouraging word from a crush or a loved one can motivate you for weeks. | Jun. 25th, 2008 12:29 pm The Big Read From the Pam-enator
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read. 2) Italicise those you intend to read. 3) Underline the books you LOVE. 4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them 5) Put a star next to those you've only partially read.
As you can see from the list, many I've started. Quite a few I've seen films of but never read the book. So, in total...
6 Read. 8 Partial. 1 Intended.
I'm now proceeding to hide from the onslaught of books coming my way.Current Location: WATSON Current Mood: tired

| Apr. 10th, 2008 05:50 pm Exam Results are in.... And I passed! First time, for all four of them. A new record.
For the first time in six months, I'm approaching something new. The comfort and safety of knowing what's coming is gone.

| Apr. 1st, 2008 04:35 pm Back to Sydney Town As of 1750 last night I'm back in Sydney, this time until late August.
I've got to do some exams in the next couple of weeks, do or die ones. Should be right, I've done a lot more stuff, and I've got the time to Study this time around.
Hopefully next week I'll know my exact timetable for Noctis, but I should have Friday through Sunday, barring any hold ups.
That's it from me, more study time. Current Location: Sydney Current Mood: Settled Current Music: Utah Saints - Something Good 08

| Jan. 21st, 2008 09:17 pm So, I'm thinking about creating a Changeling character. I want to run the concept by you guys, who have a better understanding of the venue, to see if it works.
I'm thinking a Darkling Antiquaran (or however you pronounce it) in the Winter Court. He's a Nomadic Analyst. He goes around and finds out things, researches, tracks down people, uncovers secrets, that sort of thing.
I'm basing the Acardia experience on the film, the Dark Crystal. Yep, the movie with the puppets. The PC was kidnapped about 2 years ago, March 25. He spent 9 years in Arcadia, tormented by Skesis like Fae, who had him working as a slave.
I want to incorporate some of the strangeness in his story, ala good and bad experiences in Arcadia, all leading to the point he has no idea why he was taken, or for what purpose, if not to tell some grand story.
I also like the concept of Radio Free Fae, and I'm thinking about having the PC set up an Australian Broadcast.
Whadda think? Current Mood: curious

| Jan. 15th, 2008 08:12 pm Sydney Wrap Well, my trip has been and gone, and all in all, it was pretty good. Saw my mate Phil and we went to the Randwick Hotel, and got pissed. Plus.
Played Sydney game of Cam, and I'm tempted to take my PC in a different direction. Just feeling it out right now, but could be interesting. And, got to play with fellow Indie Tammie, which was cool.
Didn't make it to the after-session drinking, as I was stuck in the Cross and had to fly back that day to go to work.
Hopefully, I can do it all again soon. Probably for Noctis or something like that. Current Mood: accomplished

| Dec. 26th, 2007 02:21 pm Christmas Report Well, Hari Natal has come and gone. Kinda weird, as it was the first time that Jimbo wasn't there for Christmas Lunch.
As a family, we have a big Christmas lunch. Ham, Turkey, Gravy (LUV the gravy), potatoes, vegies and booze. I've lived away from home for about 5 years now, and I'd just remember I've only missed one Christmas from the family, but I spent that one with family down south. Grandparents and cousins. It was kinda weird.
Well, the family got together and I got the entire run of Spooks, this cool BBC drama/thriller about MI5. I love it. Watched season 1 and a bit of two yesterday. It's hardcore thinking about the groups of people that want to destroy our way of life. Anarchists, Extremist Muslims, Extremist Racists, Political Terrorists and a host of others. Oh well.
My folks are having the 25th wedding anniversary coming up, so I've dived into some preparation for that. I've got to give a speech, I'm making a slide show, and organizing the tunes. Should be a good shindig. My folks aren't very social creatures, and they've broken taboo in actually inviting friends to this. Should go off without a hitch.
Sydney plans are starting to finalize. Good Navy mate of mine will be in town, so boozing up at the Lowenbrau is locked in. Thinking about calling up an old interest too. We'll see.
Catchya later. Current Mood: neither here nor there

| Dec. 6th, 2007 08:25 pm Missing the South Well howdy from Not so sunny Darwin. It's kinda wet here now, with the aptly titled Wet Season. Work's going alright. I get 4 weeks off over Christmas, barring a Cyclone coming straight for us.
I'm looking over Matt and Cass' wedding photos, adding a few more friends to my LJ (It's Sean in case you're wondering), trying to think of something meaningful to do Cam wise, and finding that I'm missing my time down there.
I love the weather up here, and the lifestyle is great. NT, Not Today, Not Tomorrow, Not Tuesday, Not Thursday. Sums it up nicely. But in Canberra and Sydney, I had a whole bunch of mates that I didn't work with. That is something pretty good in my profession, as sometimes you need to get away from it all.
Unfortunately, I'm not due back till April, where I sit my exams again. Not looking forward to that at all.
Well, I guess I'm trying to say I miss you guys, and hope to see you soon (aka April) Current Mood: contemplative

| Oct. 21st, 2007 09:44 am Hail from Vanuatu So, I haven't posted in years, but I figure that this will get to the people that I want it to, so its all good.
I'm currently sitting in Nambawan cafe in Port Vila, Vanuatu, sipping a coffee, eating a crossiant, and having a dart. Life is pretty good. From Con, I flew up to darwin and within a week was overseas, and will be for the next four weeks. If anyone has to get in contact with me, my work email is sean.money@fleet.defence.gov.au , otherwise I'll get to it when I'm internet accessible, which I can't guarantee.
Weather coming across the Pacific was SHIT! 4 meter high swells, on a boat that's only about 6 meters to the bridge, means a lot of movement. Add nearly gale force winds, and the passage sucked. Went out last night to the local bars, had the local brew (tusker, not too bad, a bit malty), and went to bed at 21:00 ish. Long sleep and I feel pretty good.
It kinda sucks having to do this stage of my training again, but I'm trying to make the best of it. The crew I'm with are really good, nice relaxed bunch of people.
So, onto Ratology.

| Jul. 13th, 2006 02:15 am Hello from Darwin! Yes ladies and gentlemen, I am home, and I love it!
I flew into Darwin Sunday lunch, and now its Wed night / Thurs morning, and I'm all sorts of relaxed. I've been doing nothing during the usual hours of the morning except sleeping, and staying up watching cable at stupid hours in the night.
I've been trying to track down some old school friends, mainly so I can go to the clubs and pubs with someone other than me, myself and I. I can't shake this feeling though I've become something of an outcast, cause its been over 6 years since I've talked to some of these people, and I'm not having much luck.
And wouldn't you know it, but it's job appreciation day, and so far the money has come into the account. I think I heard somewhere that it doesn't come in till 04:00, which sucks. However, given the track record of my bed times, I might be awake to see it come in. Money is good.
Its so good, its Money.

| Jul. 4th, 2006 01:53 pm Update Well, I've been real slack lately, so here's an update from me.
I'm on holiday! I've finished my exam last Saturday, so I'm bumming around at ADFA until my flight back home to Darwin on Sunday morning.
I've been thinking up plots for my PCs, mainly based on movies (strangely enough), so this month I'm going to implement those. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be ST to see them finished. But that means I'm only ST for 3 more months and 2 more games! Hurray!
Other than that, lifes pretty boring. Current Mood: sleepy Current Music: Nick Fish

| Jun. 23rd, 2006 02:22 am Downtimes finished Well, it took all day, but I smashed out the Downtimes for Canberra. Granted its 02:20, but last time I was up till 4 doing the damn things.
One of these days I should get organized and do them over, say a week, instead of a day.
Plus, I've beefed up my report so I can stop the HUGE documentation stuff, and just cover it in terms of small updates. Less work for me! Yay!
Now to begin ST evilness... Current Music: Lacuna Coil - Swamped
